My name is Eden and I am an Early Childhood student at the University of Guelph Humber. 

My experience in this field is focused on Child Life; providing psychosocial and emotional support for children and their families in vulnerable settings. 

Although many of the children that I work with are not able to communicate verbally, I feel that everyone, internally or externally, has the ability to smile. This website has been titled 'Smiling Hearts' because my goal is to be able to communicate with these individuals through smiles. Whether I am being 'goofy' and making the children smile, or I simply smile at a child and make them feel slightly better, I feel that a smile has the ability to warm someones heart and instantly brighten their mood.

Smiling Hearts is my creative platform where I will be expressing my views on Child Life and posting activities that I plan, execute, evaluate, and modify with the children.
